Today, Kai Shing announced its collaboration with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University ("PolyU"), CLPe Solutions ("CLPe"), The Jardine Engineering Corporation Limited ("JEC") and Trane Service Hong Kong ("Trane"), to formulate a charter on Smart Energy Optimization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Control. Kai Shing has been actively working with different organization and playing a leading role in various aspects, such as energy saving and carbon reduction, the use of renewable energy and waste management. In 2011, Kai Shing has collaborated with PolyU for the first time to implement a life-cycle commissioning exercise at the air conditioning system of the International Commerce Centre (ICC), the tallest building in Hong Kong. The collaboration has successfully achieved a remarkable energy saving of over 20M kWh between 2012 and 2022, the outstanding achievement has laid the foundation and encouraged us to continue our efforts in energy saving at properties under Kai Shing's management.

Kevin Chu, Deputy Managing Director of Kai Shing said, "Kai Shing has been committed to introduce new technology, in order to improve sustainability performance in properties under our management. Many renowned multinational corporations and international retail brands are our tenants, that they place great importance in environmental protection and the working progress of sustainability in properties. Under the impact of global warming, it is not easy to attain the goal, however, with the support and collaborative efforts from our tenants and relevant parties, we are confident that Kai Shing is able to do it!"

To show our support in achieving carbon neutrality target, Kai Shing has specially purchased carbon-offset credits for the conference to reduce the emissions. Also, one ton of carbon-offset credit has been given to each guest speaker as a token of appreciation. Kai Shing would like to utilize new technology to help tenants saving energy through this collaboration. Kai Shing will spare no efforts to continue taking forward in sustainability and green management. We will continue providing professional and considerate service, while at the same time actively increasing the efficiency of energy saving and carbon reduction in properties under our management, in order to contribute our part in building a greener environment!
